RCG-Series Tactile Domes

The RCG dome is a four-legged dome with a unique ring feature pressed into the top. The unique design, of the RCG dome, offers certain advantages over traditional snap domes.

The RCG tactile dome provides a circular contact surface area which helps reduce impact from contamination, debris, or off-centered actuation. Unlike other switch options, the RCG dome has a lower profile and higher life cycle rating. Depending on the circuit board design, the ring feature can also activate multiple independent contacts simultaneously.

RCG-Series tactile domes can be purchased in bulk (loose in jars) or as part of a custom Peel-N-Place Array (mounted on adhesive tape). RCG snap domes can be mounted to a wide variety of switching surfaces, including single or double-sided printed circuit boards, flex circuits, and membrane switch panels. We can also provide the RCG domes in pocketed reel or in cartridges for use with the Dart™ Dome Placement Pen or SureShot™ Automated Placement Machine.

Note: The RCG-Series comes standard in nickel plating.
