Standard Metal Domes

Tactile metal domes are momentary switch contacts that become normally open switches when used with a printed circuit board, flex circuit, or membrane. They are placed on printed circuit boards through pressure-sensitive adhesive tape, captured in a pocket design, or directly soldered to the circuit in a standard SMT process.

In their relaxed state, tactile metal domes rest on the outer rim of the primary pathway. When pushed, they collapse and make contact with the secondary path, thereby closing the circuit. Many different shapes and actuation forces are available to fit your specific application. You can use them as mechanical switches, electrical contacts, tactile elements only, or both electrical and tactile. Contact us today to purchase our tactile metal domes.
